Gynecomastia Excisions surgery is for men that consider their breast to be too large. This procedure is a great option if you are healthy and are within normal weight guidelines. Your breast development needs to be stabilized. You may be a candidate if you condition cannot be corrected through alternative medical treatments or if you do not have any medical conditions that can impair the healing process.

Preparing For Your Surgery

You may be required to get lab tests or a medical evaluation before proceeding with surgery. You will need to avoid taking certain medications, aspirin, anti-inflammatory drugs and herbal supplements that can increase bleeding during you procedure. Your surgeon will advise you as to when you may resume taking them. Smoking is also not advised due to healing issues.

All cosmetic procedures are performed on an outpatient basis in our state-of-the-art in-house operating suite. Minor procedures are also performed in our office’s minor surgery rooms.

Gynecosmastia Excision can be performed with a general anesthesia, so you’ll sleep through the entire operation.

After Your Surgery

You will have dressings applied to your incisions and bandages or support garment to minimize swelling and give support as you heal. You will return for removal of stitches and for the physician to monitor your progress. Once you have healed you may resume normal activities and exercise.

Your New Look

The results of gynecomastia excision surgery, in most cases, are permanent. In some patients, results may be altered by the use of certain prescription medications such as steroids or if the patient gains weight.
